They learn that for every problem there is only one solution or solutions are available in a book that needs to be memorized. It can even develop passive attitude towards education. This process can lead to dangerous consequences where the students get to paralyzed and become incompetent to solve the problems. They have to realize that the bookish knowledge is no way connected with the real life situation keeping this aim in mind the college has adopted case study method in several subjects where the students can collaborate and find out a solution with their own expertise past knowledge and experience especially designed case studies come very handy. The students work in groups and find the out creative and relevant solutions to the various problems. This process helps the students to think laterally and come out with unique solutions for several contingency and emerging challenges.
The students of aurora are given assignments through out the year which are related to subjects as well as general topics. They are assigned to perform various tasks. Assignments demonstrate rightful combination of theory and practice. These assignments help students avoid pitfalls by anticipating their questions and assumptions. Seminar is a most effective way to build knowledge synthesis, clarity, articulation and professional skills such as time management. it has the function of bringing together small groups for recurring meetings focusing each time on particular subject in which everyone present is requested to actively participate. This is often accomplished through ongoing Socratic dialogue with a seminar instructor or leader or through a more formal presentation of research. The college is making it necessary that every student involves in a large number of seminar sessions along with the group where they would participate in explaining and presenting synthesized knowledge on various topics and thus enabling themselves with necessary communications and inter personal skills.
Quizzing is an attitude that develops ability to think and respond to a gamut of questions. This keeps students to put their thinking caps on and makes them understand the need of constantly updating their knowledge and information connected with subject as well as society and business. Each student needs to attend quiz activities conducted every week in the class.
