It gives me a lot of happiness to share my experiences about Aurora Degree College both as a student and also as an Alumnus.

My Experience at Aurora has been a very enriching one, I had opted for Mathmatics, Electronics and Computer Science (MECs) stream, the faculty and the facilities provided at the campus were one of the best. The computer lab at the college was one of the best among the colleges in the City.

The college also had a rich collection of Curriculum books, journals, newspapers etc. This provided a perfect starting ground for students like me and my mates to plan for a stronger future.

I would like to quote an incident from my life, which is very close to me. Once Wipro came to the college for recruiting students, and one of it's requirement was that the student must have more than 60% marks starting from SSC. This was a disappointment for me, as I did not score more than 60% in my SSC. Which meant i could not sit for the interview. All my close friends got through the interview. And i felt really sad about not making it.

One day after that incident i went to the college, and there i saw our Principal Sir, Dr Ravi Paturi, as it's his usual style to see that every student is in the college campus before 9 AM. And he is very particular about it :)

He saw me that day and as he himself describes it, i looked "disappointed with red cheeks", he called me into his room and gave me the India Times magazine and told me to go through a company's Profile, the company name was Cognizant Technology Solutions, he told me that the company will be in campus for interviews and he wanted me to prepare for it.

I did accordingly and read that article and went for the interview. And by god's blessings i got through the interview. I still remember that day like it was yesterday, our principal sir was very happy, i have not seen him that happy ever.I owe my First job to God, my parents and Principal sir.

So this overall sums up my experience with Aurora's Degree College, and i can proudly say that i am an Aurorian, and for the current students of Aurora i can only say that you are in one of the best colleges, with a great Principal/Mentor, Dr Ravi Paturi at the helm of the things. Make the most of it!
