The team of governing council is lead by Dr. Alladi Prabhakar, a very renowned octo generian and educationalist (founder, Director of Manipal Institute of Technology).
Dr Alladi Prabhakar Dr Alladi Prabhakar had his early education in Madras, having obtained his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Madras University. Thereafter he obtained his Masters Degree at the world renowned Harvard University in 1956. His first stint of work was at the Defense Science Service as Junior Scientific Officer at Delhi. He joined as Professor, Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Osmania University and served the University in various capacities for over 20 years as Chairman, Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering as Principal, Dean, and Faculty of Engineering besides being a member of academic bodies and administrative committees of the University. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, Fellow of the Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers India and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Member of I.E.E.(London) and Member, Computer Society of India and Member, Association of Biomedical Scientists(India). In addition to all his memberships, he also held several appointments abroad as Visiting Senior Lecturer, Caulfield Institution of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, visiting Professor University of New Hampshire, USA. He was also invited to speak at seminars in about 30 Universities in USA, West Germany, UK and Australia. Back home, in 1990 the University Grants Committee appointed him as Professor Emeritus of the Osmania University, a rare honour for such a great man. In 1979 he was awarded the “Best Teacher” by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. As a prolific writer he has authored over 40 research papers in journals in India and abroad. He has been proficient not only in academics but also in outdoor/indoor games as tennis, bridge and billiards. Prof Alladi has been Principal, Manipal Institute of Technology for nine years (1987 – 1996) spearheading the introduction of Post Graduate courses in Engineering. In spite of his retirement from active service he continues to render yeoman service in Hyderabad, in the Andhra Pradesh Academic of Sciences Rotary Club, Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers etc. In addition to all this he also renders advisory services to a number of colleges of engineering colleges which have sprouted in and around the city of Hyderabad. Aurora Degree College is fortunate to have such an eminent person of his caliber on our Governing Council. |

Dr TV Rao Dr. T.V.Rao is revered as the “Father of Human Resource Development under the able leadership of T.V.Rao & his esteemed companion Udai Parikh a new HRD system emerged in India during the year 1974. They were instrumental in setting the HR Department for Larsen & Toubro, which was the first of its kind in this part of the world. His professional journey started from IIM, Ahmedabad and this association continued successfully for 20 years. During this period he also served as L&T Professor of HRD at XLRI Jamshedpur for 3 years. He is the founder President of National HRD network & also served as the founder President of Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science (ISABS). In addition to all this, he also contributed as an organization developer with the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore National Institute of Design, Mount Carmel Group of colleges. He was also a member for committee for future Directors at IIM Ahmedabad Dr Rao has several Publications to his credit the areas of HRD education entrepreneurship health, Population and Management Training. Dr Rao had the honor of being a consultant for a short term to UNESCO, Ministry of health Indonesia National Entrepreneurial Development Association Malaysia and the common wealth secretariat London. His consultancy experiences include designing & Implementing performance management other HR systems and a few workshops in public sector like SAIL,NTPC,IOC, Bharat Petroleum NALCO, SBI,RBI & Others. In the private sector his contributions were immense Internationally also, he is well acclaimed. His contributions were in the field of competency mapping. He is thus a well renowned personality with a distinguished name. |
Prof MS Pillai M. S. Pillai (M.A, L.L.B, M.B.A) is an Indian academic. He served as the founder-director of the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune from 1993 to 2004. M S Pillai is the son of P. S. Madhavan Pillai and P. K. Padmavathi Pillai of Kerala. He holds many degrees and is the winner of the Best Teacher in Management Award from the Rotary Club in 2004. The International Biographical Research Foundation gave him the status of an Eminent Personality of India in 2000. He has also received the Significant Contribution Award from the Rotary Club of Pune for his contribution in the field of education. When SCMHRD was founded in 1993, it had thirty-two students. When M S Pillai left in 2004, the institute had almost 21,000 applicants and was one of the top management schools in India. After his abrupt departure from SCMHRD in 2004, many of his former students came together, and provided him financial and moral support to start Sadhana Centre for Management and Leadership Development (SCMLD) in Pune. He is currently Principal Director at Sadhana Center for Management and Leadership. |
Dr. L.S.Shashidhara Dr L.S.Shashidhara is a professor and coordinator of biology at the Institute of Science Education and research (IISER). He was also the scientist at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in the year 1995. He holds a Doctorate from the prestigious Cambridge University, UK and a PDF from Cambridge too. He was also a visiting fellow NCBS, Bangalore for 3 years (1993-95). A versatile person, Dr Sashi is fellow from Indian National Science Academy and Indian academy of sciences. He is also the honorary faculty member JNCASR, Bangalore. A recipient of two prestigious awards, one from DAE-SRC, as an outstanding research Investigator and another technological award from CSIR in the area of biological sciences. Being a researcher to the core his area of specialization include genetics development biology more specifically the evolution of appendage forms, gene functions, aero dynamics of insects flights and genetic system to study human genes to develop and functional genomics. Prof. Shashidhara is another personality who is on our board. Aurora values greatly, his expert advice from time to time. |
Venkat Changavalli A well-known technocrat of high caliber born in 1953 in Andhra Pradesh. He holds a B.Tech Degree in Chemical engineering from National Institute of Technology Warangal. Having also done his Masters in business Administration from the Prestigious Indian institute of management, Ahemabad he has held a myriad of offices he was the CEO of number of Indian and multi national companies for 28 long years. Including pharmaceutical, chemical and FMCG allied industries. Covering finance and planning and marketing, general management areas. Presently he is heading emergency managements and research institute EMRI as the CEO He had attended training programs of one week each in a year at Wharton school IMD LBS, Harvard Business School and Columbia business school on strategic thinking, leadership skills strategic marketing, negotiation skills etc. Very practical and down to earth person .who believes in people development and invests in them. Through conducting lecture /training programs for customers, vendors, employees ion the areas of individual development of human resources marketing, leadership and strategy. He is a strategic thinker, and organization builder and believes in driving changes with clear communication for effective execution He learns continually and shares it with others in a practical way. Dr Navin Sharma A chief scientist at corporate research, Indian Tobacco Company, research and development centre. He holds a twin doctorate, one from the university and the other from J.N.Agricultural University, Jabalpur. He worked with the University of Agriculture Fisheries and food, department of biology, university of New York. He had worked in different organizations as a principal scientist. He is recognized as the fellow of Cambridge common wealth society and has also guided postgraduate programmes at YB Chavan Open University. He is also an eloquent speaker and holds a number of patents to his credit. He was awarded the A.J.Keith fund by the University of Cambridge and from a number of universities. He has a myriad of publications of around 7 international patents, 22 publications in journals of repute. He is also an all-rounder who has also excelled in extracurricular activities

Dr Balaji Utla A multi faceted personality having a varied number of qualifications to his credit. He had completed his post Graduation in communication and Journalism followed by Masters in Business Administration from Osmania University and a doctorate degree in management in 1992. He has to his credit a rich blend of academic experience as well as industrial exposure of 22 years in the areas of learning organizational development, strategy and corporate social responsibility. He worked as an associate professor in the department of Business Management O.U for 11years.then he founded the satyam base centre in 1994 which is one of the stop shop for all performing needs. Later he became the director of satyam and under his able leadership the company received an award from the FICCI in 2008 he launched a major organization wide communication program-----Sathyam Way—and code signed and launched the first ever satyam strategy summit to reflect and architect for the future. He launched two major platforms the satyam annual architectural conferences and satyam annual project management conference which will help the organization to collate, distill and present distinctive intellectual assets. In 2007 he became the chief executive officer of health management research institute HMRI he attended training programs sloan school of management in 2001.faculty development program at Indian institute of management Ahemadabad. He is on the board of different organizations-vikas, non governmental organizations, member board of studies, dept of Business management in O.U. Mohammad Ali Baig Mohammad Ali Baig, the son of Hindustani theatre doyen late Qadri Ali Baig is a second generation theatre scion. A well acclaimed film maker and an ad maker. He was awarded the highest global award for his heritage film “Rockumentary”. As a theatre director, he has produced south India’s biggest original musical theatre production “Taramati”- the legend of an artist. He is acknowledged as being one of the youngest chief executive officers of a public limited television company in the country and is also a director on the board of India’s pioneering video production company in Bangalore. Mr. Baig runs his international ad films company cineworks India. He is the president of Quadri Ali Baig theatre foundation. |
